Why is climate control or heated important when storing my belongings?
| Climate Controlled units offer a comfortable setting for heat as well as humidity, while a heated unit maintains a certain minimum temperature throughout each season.
If the relative humidity is too high, your belongings will retain moisture, creating an environment for potential mold growth. |

What is your policy on refunds upon moving out?
| Metro Self-Storage requires a two week written notice of tenants moving out. Your $25 deposit will be returned to you after the unit has been inspected and determined there's no debris or damage. No rent will be returned if you terminate within the first four weeks, however, depending of when notice is received, we will reimburse rent in two week increments.
For all tenants who rent a unit on or after Dec. 1st, 2009 under our new Customer Care Plan, we require a seven (7) day written notice of termination. Refunds will be pro-rated to the actual day of move out rather than in two week increments, so all unused rental payment is refunded. |
|
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
| The beauty of self storage is you only rent it for the time you need you are not tied into anything long term. When you first rent the space there is a minimum of four weeks and then you can continue to rent with us for as long as you need storage.

What type of security features does your storage facility offer?
| Metro Self-Storage's state-of-the-art facilities are equipped with a keypad entry and individually alarmed units. Our keypads are also equipped with cameras for security purposes. Each tenant has a personalized, secure access code that will allow entry through the gate and into the building/s. By entering this code, the alarm on your unit only is deactiviated while your on-site. Each facility is well-lit and accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

How will you know if someone tries to enter my storage unit without my permission?
| Each tenant must enter their own individual code to access the site and disable their unit alarm. If someone were to open your unit door without first entering the code, an alarm would sound at our facility as well as our monitoring station.
