Access to your self storage space is flexible and free. Unlike traditional storage and warehousing, you can come and go to your space as often as you like, for as long as you like, without incurring a fee. 24/7, unlimited access is a key element to the benefits of self storage.
Payment is Easy
We accept payment by cash, cheque, credit card, debit and online banking through: Scotia Bank, Bank of Montreal, CIBC & Royal Bank. We also have an automated kiosk for your convenience where you can make payments, move into a unit and even purchase a lock!
Privacy of Your Goods
You lock it and you keep the key. This feature of self storage is integral to what makes self storage different. No one else is allowed access to your space, not even the self storage company (unless you have authorized access and provided a spare key). In fact, no one even knows what you are storing, and your personal details are always kept confidential. Nobody else has access to move or use or interfere with your goods, because they are in your own private space.
No Fixed Period
Self storage offers flexibility in your rental period. You can stay as long as you like without committing to a fixed lease term. Renting a self storage space requires rental to be paid in advance (4-week increments), and a refundable deposit (for garbage or damage) is required, and you keep renting the space for as long as you need to. This gives you great flexibility and allows you to save money.

At Metro Self-Storage, security of your goods is our number one priority. We have invested heavily in technology and systems for greater security of all our storage facilities and the goods in storage. Some of our security features include:
Individually-alarmed spaces: Individual door alarms provide you with added peace of mind that intruders will be deterred. Our alarms are monitored 24 hours per day by an alarm company.
Access-control systems: P.I.N. Controlled Gate Systems provide added security. Only those with a unique pin code can enter the storage facility, plus you can have multiple pin codes for each unit. All of Metro Self-Storage facilities have this feature to limit and control access and ensure greater security.
Daily lock integrity checks: Each week the Metro Self-Storage staff conducts a lock integrity check of every storage unit. The lock status and integrity is checked against records. The vigilance of this system means security at Metro Self-Storage is extremely high.
Surveillance systems: We have placed cameras strategically throughout most of our facilities to help us keep an eye on things. The images are recorded and retained for a period to provide the added security.
Security fencing, walls and construction: We even consider security in our design and construction of our storage facilities. Our facilities have a minimum of a 2.4m high fence, on the boundary, to keep people out. We also build our units in steel and concrete, with roller-doors on most units. Roller doors provide better security and privacy than swing doors.
Exterior lighting: Bright, High Pressure Sodium lighting provides another level of security for our facilities. This intense lighting helps to deter intruders and makes the storage facility safe and secure for your enjoyment.
Locks: Your lock is the next best deterrent for intruders. We offer standard brass padlocks that are 40mm; 5 pin cylinder, anti-pick pins, with a hardened steel shackle. Disc locks will give you added security and are available to purchase at Metro Self-Storage.
Packing Supplies: Metro Self-Storage offers a wide variety of tools needed to pack efficiently and properly. We offer packing tape, box cutters, various sizes of sturdy packing boxes, markers, bubble wrap and much more.
